The Savrann Solar Open House will be held from 5:30 to 7:30pm at 61 Talcott Road. The couple is doing the event to show off the benefits and practicality of solar and encourage others to invest in arrays.
The Savrann’s are holding the open house in cooperation with Connecticut Solar Challenge™ (CTSC), a community educational program, along with Aegis Solar Energy, the company that installed the solar array. The Savrann’s utilized the program to significantly knock down the price of their system.
In addition to Guilford, CT Solar Challenge has partnered with Madison, Bethany, Chester, Clinton, North Branford, Old Saybrook and many more. The program is available statewide.
CT Solar Challenge Director Maggie Treichel praised the Savrann’s for holding the open house and hoped for a good turnout.
“The Savrann’s are solar energy role models,” Treichel said. “They took the plunge and quickly discovered solar makes sense and saves money over time. I hope that residents and business owners will take advantage of this opportunity to see solar and its benefits first hand.”
